The GoodAlthough the bulk of reviews used for this analysis were unfavourable, guests did feel that rooms were clean and that the hotel was in a good location.
Guests said that, although their rooms appeared to be older, they felt that they were very clean and well-maintained.
Location was a draw for a number of guests who appreciated the hotel's proximity to the 401 (just over a 5-minute drive).
Several guests commented favourably on the price point and said that the room rate was reasonable.
Staff were described as friendly and helpful.
The Bad
The majority of comments used for this analysis were critical. Guests were particularly unhappy with aging decor and with unpleasant odours.
Guests suggested that this hotel was in need of major updates to its decor. Words like shabby, worn and tired appeared frequently in guest's descriptions of their rooms.
Guests complained of unpleasant odours coming from the carpets. A few guests complained of lingering odours of cigarette smoke and suggested that rooms needed to be better ventilated. Guests also complained of mouldy smells and of pet odours.
A few guests said that walls were thin, and that they were bothered by noisy guests in adjacent rooms.
