"Maybe it was just the room we had, but the experience was enough to NOT recommend this hotel. We had an "executive" room, with an indoor, enclosed balcony that had a window overlooking the pool. CREEPY! The heat did not work, the hot and cold water taps were reversed, and the water could not decide whether to stay hot or cold anyway! They did send someone to attempt to fix the heat, but after several attempts was not successful. They adjusted the bill to compensate (took off $15), and I believe it wasn't enough. Oh yeah, the restaurant was closed for re-construction, I am sure it will be nice when it is done. Perhaps these things should be on their website for consideration."

"This hotel is in need of major updating. The carpet in our room was stained as were the walls in the bathroom and the ceiling by the heater looked as though it may come down. The shower tiles had been painted over to refresh it although the paint is now peeling. The tub lacked a knob to pull for the shower. THere was not a hotel info book to show local restaurants etc. This was the 3rd or 4th time we had stayed at that hotel and each time it has gotten progressively poorer. We won't be staing there again."

"My stay in this hotel was probably the worst I have ever experienced. My room had not been dusted, hair on the bathroom floor, dirty & stained rugs and my daughter found a used needle on the floor at the edge of her bed. I went down to the front desk to complain the next morning and was assured everything would be dealt with and taken care of as well as an adjustment to my bill. After returning to my room that evening I found it had been serviced by the housekeeping attendant but not well....the bed was badly made, the dust we talked about had not been taken care of and there was no notes or apologies from anyone. I went down to the front desk again and again had to retell my story to someone else....they didn't seem to know about it. They finally agreed to give me a different room that was better cleaned but this hotel needs work in decoration....everything is getting old and worn. The person I spoke with this time assured me again my bill would be adjusted. On Monday when we were going to check out my bill was slid under the door with an adjustment of $30.00. I again went down and complained and told my story again and the women at least credited me for a night stay....a whole $90.00. The scariest part of my stay was thankgod my 18 year old found the needle and not my 10 month old. If anyone had been pricked by this needle it would have been awful as to what they would have undergone to be tested etc. in case the person had aids or something. I will never go there again and I will be pursuing this further as I should have been reimbursed for my total stay and an apology should have been made. I hope no one else goes there. In my mind this place should be closed down."

"The decor may be a little tired, but the staff were all polite and pleasant. I didn't use the bar/restaurant, but it looks comfortable and I wasn't disturbed by any noise from that area. The hotel is convenient for downtown Brantford, and close to major east-west & north-south roads."

"Stayed here because of swimming facilities. First I had to request they unlock the facility at noon hour. Facilities could not be used. So humid, it was hard to breathe and pool is so unkept you couldn't see through the water. Floors, extremeley slippery. Ice machine was out of order. no hotel directory in room for hotel services, or room service. Room rugs very stained. Walls need painting in halls. When calling down to desk, new person couldn't answer simplest questions, had to ask and call you back. No out door pool as advertized. Would not stay there again."
