The GoodThose that enjoyed their stay at the Comfort Inn Belleville were impressed with the continental breakfast and the cleanliness of the property. Many also appreciated the friendliness of the staff as well as the centrality of the location, with many major retailers and restaurants within walking distance. Several guests also felt that they received fair value for the price they paid for the hotel.
Guests at the hotel started their day full and happy after the free continental breakfast. Some guests used words like “satisfying” to describe their impressions of the breakfast. Many guests appreciated the variety, and commented on things like having hot foods, such as boiled eggs, available.
Several guests indicated that they felt the property was clean and comfortable, and many were pleased to be able to walk to area restaurants and shops. A number of guests liked being close to a major artery like the 401.
Guests felt that the staff were friendly and attentive as well, with one guest saying that they were “pleasantly surprised” by the service they received.
Additionally, a couple of guests really liked being able to park right outside their rooms.
The Bad
There were a few common complaints among guests of the Comfort Inn Belleville, including an odour of smoke, lack of attention to detail with cleaning and noise levels at the hotel. In addition, some guests ran into problems with their reservations when they arrived.
Several guests indicated that there was a problem on the property with a lingering smell of cigarette smoke, even in non-smoking rooms and areas.
A couple of guests felt that the cleaning in their rooms was not thorough enough. One guest indicated that some items had been left behind in their room from the previous guest, and not removed prior to their check-in.
For some guests, there were issues with their reservations when they arrived. One guest had been promised a rollaway bed, only to find out that none were available when they arrived (the hotel later found one in storage). Another guest had been quoted a different rate for their room on the phone, and had to argue with the staff when they checked in.
Other complaints included a mention from a handful of guests about noise issues with the hotel and that the property was in need of a makeover. One guest felt that the signage from the highway for the hotel was confusing.
