The GoodThe guest rooms at the Best Western were renovated in July 2011 and many guests were impressed with the new decor. Some guests described the hotel as being well-furnished. One guest reviewer stated that this was the "best" Best Western that he had ever stayed at, and another guest described the new decor as "sheer luxury."
The hotel's pillow-top mattresses were praised by several guest reviewers and many commented on comfortable pillows. A few guests appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and some guests stated that the hotel was quiet and calm for most of their stay.
Guest reviewers across multiple sources liked the indoor pool and hot tub. Some guests felt that the indoor swimming area was a nice bonus and kid-friendly. One guest said that the pool area was the best that he had ever seen in a hotel.
The hotel's location also received much praise, with many guests appreciating its closeness to the ferry, area malls, Highway 401 and restaurants.
The hotel serves a deluxe continental breakfast and some guests were pleasantly surprised with the large selection. Several guests loved that their hotel room a featured balcony, and a few guests enjoyed a beautiful view of the harbour.
The Bad
The Best Western offers free Internet in the public areas; however, some guests complained because Internet in the guest rooms weren't included in the price of the room.
The hotel adopted a smoke-free policy after its renovation. Despite this, some guests detected smoke smells in their rooms.
A few hotel guests also had trouble maintaining a comfortable temperature in their guest rooms. These guests complained of the air conditioning keeping the rooms too cold and the heating system keeping the rooms too warm.
