This hotel is located within a 5-minute walk from Iqaluit's city centre and is well suited for guests who want to be within walking distance to downtown.

The hotel is under new management and is now known as Hotel Arctic.

All 76 rooms have free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, a mini-fridge, a microwave, cutlery and dishware, a hair dryer, a coffeemaker and kettle, a toaster and an iron and ironing board. Standard rooms have one or two queen beds. Suites have a separate living room with a sofabed and a king or one or queen beds. Accessible rooms are available.

Guests can dine on site at Water’s Edge Seafood and Steakhouse, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Kickin' Caribou Pub serves lunch, dinner and drinks Monday-Saturday and lunch on Sunday. On-site amenities include free parking, meeting facilities and a gym featuring views of Frobisher Bay.

Air travellers are less than a 5-minute drive from the Iqaluit Airport (YFB). The Arnaitok Arena is under a 5-minute walk away. The Nunatta Sunakkutaangit Museum, featuring Inuit art and artifacts, is just under a 10-minute walk away. The Good
The majority of reviews used for this analysis were favourable and guests were most impressed with service from staff and with the hotel's location.

Staff were flexible and accommodating, according to guests, who said that they were more than happy to work around guest requests to make sure that they were well taken care of.

Rooms were clean, well maintained and well equipped. A number of guests appreciated the convenience of having kitchenette facilities in their rooms.

A number of guests commented favourably on the hotel's location and liked its proximity to the city centre (a 5-minute walk away) and to Iqaluit Airport (less than a 5-minute drive). Business travellers indicated that the hotel was conveniently close to government buildings as well.

Several guests liked the on-site restaurant and bar and said that the food was good quality. There was a sense that guests enjoyed the atmosphere present in both of these spots.
The Bad
Most of the reviews used for this analysis were positive. Guest criticisms did not seem to reflect universal experiences or impressions.

A few guests complained about noise disturbance, mostly from noisy guests in the hallways. Noise travelled through the hallways and between the walls, according to guests.

A handful of guests said that the food offered in the on-site restaurant and pub was expensive. One reviewer warned guests to be prepared for sticker shock in the restaurant.
