The GoodGuests that stayed at the Comfort Inn Sydney were pretty mixed on their opinions of the property. On the plus side, the hotel staff and the location of the property both received numerous compliments.
The hotel staff were frequently described as either "friendly" or "helpful." One guest, for example, explained how he/she forgot a valuable item in her room and the front desk agent she spoke to found it and made efforts to have it returned. Other guests indicated that the hotel staff were welcoming and that they provided good customer service.
The location of the property was well-liked for a few different reasons. Some guests found that the hotel was close to restaurants and others were satisfied with the connections to destinations in and around Sydney. For example, patrons were able to get downtown with ease and some patrons mentioned that they arrived at the hotel after taking the ferry from Newfoundland.
The hotel seemed to meet guest standards for cleanliness and comfort. Several guests called the property clean and multiple guests said that their rooms were comfortable.
The Bad
Guests that were not happy with the hotel generally focused on one of two areas: the breakfast or the hotel's limited facilities.
In regard to the breakfast, several guests did not like that there was very limited seating in the 'dining' area. Many guests said that they had to take their food back to their rooms because the "breakfast area was small with no seating." Occasionally a guest also mentioned that the food selection was limited. One adamant guest said it was the "sparsest" breakfast he and his companion had "ever encountered over the last twenty-five years."
The facilities at the hotel seemed to be limited as well. One guest complained that there was no pool while multiple guests seemed inconvenienced by the fact that the hotel did not have an elevator.
