"The ferry from Newfoundland was delayed so we arrived at the hotel after 1:00am and were assigned a smoking room, the last double room available. The stench in that room was unbearable so we had to settle for a queen room with a pull-out. It was a very small and uncomfortable bed for the 2 people who had to sleep on it. The staff did their best to help us find another hotel but there was nothing available in that city.
The manager slightly discounted our rate but we did not get the value that we paid for.
The breakfast area is very small so the guests must bring their brakfast to their room or eat it on their lap, sitting on the few chairs in the lobby."

"One of the hostess at the front desk was very rude to me - she made a comment about how lucky I am to be married to my husband as he was taking care of my little boy outside while I was getting ready. The comment was unacceptable - it's none of her business!"

"Detour signs made finding the hotel difficult, and the kids missed having a pool in the hotel. The breakfast area seemed quite cramped but having the vehicle right outside the sliding doors was a great bonus."

"The hotel is not in a convenient location. They have a continental breakfast for 2.99....Country Inn has a much better one that is complimentary. Although there were only a couple of occupants my room was on the second floor (no elevator) and down 2 long corridors. I didn't bother with breakfast, it was just to far away, to drag all the way back to my room. Speaking of my room, it seemed a bit cool when I arrived so I adjusted the temp. up a bit and went to bed as I had put in a very long day. During the night I was freezing, there were no extra blankets in the room and I was to cold to get up to phone for someone to come and adjust the heater. In the morning when I checked the thermostat the room temp was 15 degrees. I told the guy at the desk when I was checking out at 7AM. His reaction was a shrug and his comment, "Oh that's to bad, did you call anyone about it?" It was late at night, I wasn't dressed and didn't want to let someone into my room or to start packing up to move to another room...I should have done that immediately when I arrived and located the room but I was just to tiredand didn't realize at that time how very cold it actually was. Very cold...I couldn't get out of this place fast enough!!!"
