"We reserved a "no smoking" room and were given a "smoking" room. For non-smokers, the odor was allmost unbearable. When I went to the desk, I was told that there were not any other rooms available. When I asked about the room we thought we had reserved, I was answered with a shrug of the shoulders. Needless to say, our last stay at a Best western."

"We booked on-line the night before and they had no record of our reservation - even though we had a confirmation number. Also, we were then given a room which ended up having another couple sleeping in it and who became quite irritated when we tried to enter. The repairman for the ice machine who had been called in came to the rescue and got things straighted out for us in a very effecient manner. Great service from him!!"

"Night clerk and a.m. clerk were not friendly. Need to work on greeting and conversing with clients, at least acknowledge that they are there.
TV was snowy on all channels, we were told in morning that it was probably the cable loose, tub dirty on botton outside, mop flicks! The curtains did not close all the way, had to use safety pin to keep together."

David from West Des Moines, IA US stayed on December 28, 2004
"Many times we've stayed at highly rated hotels that had poor heating/cooling units and enough hot water was often an issue. In addition to this hotel being clean and bright, it had an abundance of hot water and their heating units worked better than any other hotel we've been in. Considering we experienced a blizzard during our stay, the ability to keep our room warm and cozy was absolutely wonderful!"
