Overview
Located along the Evangeline Trail (which runs along north western Nova Scotia) and about a 20-minute drive from the Bay of Fundy, this hotel is ideal for those looking to visit the Annapolis Valley region of Nova Scotia, or those who want to stay in the vicinity of the nearby military base in Greenwood, Nova Scotia.

All of the 23 rooms at this hotel are non-smoking. There are 20 standard rooms available (king or queen beds) and 3 suites (larger rooms with a king bed). In all rooms, guests can expect free Wi-Fi, free wired Internet, a mini-fridge, a hair dryer, a coffeemaker and an iron and ironing board. Pets are permitted for a cost of $10/day.

Guests can dine at the on-site restaurant daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guests are also offered a complimentary continental breakfast Monday to Friday (guests pay for breakfast on the weekend). Free parking is available on site.

The Good
Most of the reviews used for this analysis were positive, and guests complimented service from staff, as well as the appearance of the rooms. 

Guests commented frequently on the cleanliness of the rooms and appreciated the recent (2011) extensive renovations that had been done to the interior of the hotel. Many of these guests were pleasantly surprised by the well-maintained, modern rooms and common areas. There was specific appreciation of new linens, carpets, and furniture. There were a number of comments advising potential guests not to be put off by the worn exterior of this hotel.

Staff here were warm and courteous, according to a number of guests. Guests also said that staff were extremely helpful and accommodating.

Several guests commented on the quality and selection offered at the complimentary continental breakfast (fresh fruit, fresh baked goods, Monday to Friday only).

There were some peripheral comments about comfy beds and from guests who appreciated the quality of the toiletries in the rooms.

The Bad
While most of the reviews used for this analysis were favourable, guests did voice some common complaints, mostly about noise disturbance, although this did not seem to be reflective of overall guest experience.

Guests complained about noise from neighbours in adjacent rooms and from noisy air conditioning units. A few guests had trouble regulating temperature in their rooms.

There were some additional complaints about weak water pressure in the showers.
