Located about a 2-minute drive from the nearest Highway 102 on-ramp in west Halifax, Future Inns Halifax is geared towards business or vacation travellers who require a pet-friendly hotel with easy highway access, meeting/banquet space and on-site dining.

Each of this smoke-free hotel's guest rooms comes equipped with free Wi-Fi, cable TV, air conditioning, a mini-fridge, a coffeemaker, a desk, an iron and ironing board and hair dryer. Microwaves are available upon request. Rooms with a separate bedroom and a living area with a sofabed are also available, as are wheelchair-accessible rooms.

Hotel amenities include a fitness centre, meeting/banquet space, a business centre, guest laundry, free parking and on-site dining at Redwood Grill, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Pets are permitted upon request at no extra charge.

Halifax's city centre can be found 15 minutes away by car, while Halifax Shopping Centre is about a 9-minute drive away. The majority of the reviews sourced for this analysis were positive, with praise going to the hotel's staff, location, rooms and restaurant.

Numerous reviewers were pleased with the level of customer service they received during their stay, characterizing the staff as helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. One patron remarked, "All the employees were extremely friendly. I called down to the front desk for an extra towel and I swear she knew I was going to call because it felt like 3 seconds she was knocking at my door!".

The hotel's location was praised by many lodgers, who described it as safe and easily accessible, as well as close to the highway, the waterfront, shopping, restaurants, Starbucks, Costco, Bayers Lake and jogging trails. One guest noted, "For anyone that wants to do shopping you are basically a 2 min. drive from a road that is a strip mall .. food, shopping, theaters, indoor go karting, lots to do". A few reviewers did find the hotel a little far from Halifax's city centre and the airport, however.

Several guests enjoyed their accommodations at the hotel. They found their rooms to be clean, spacious, bright, quiet, well equipped and modern, with comfortable beds and linens. A few travellers had complaints about their lodgings, however (see below).

The hotel's restaurant was the source of several compliments by travellers. They described it as terrific, great and delicious, with great presentation and reasonable prices.
