The Good
This hotel was a definite guest pleaser. Staff stood out as exceptional to many who found this a very friendly and comfortable place to stay.

Rooms were invariably clean and well appointed, and guests reported having a good night's rest. They also enjoyed comfy beds and private balconies with great harbour views and celebratory fireworks displays.

The location was well liked. It was an easy walk to the waterfront and the shops, Starbucks and food court at the Scotia Square mall. The pedway offered the ultimate convenience during inclement weather.

Guests recommended the dining on site. This pertained to superb breakfast buffets as well as very good dinners and room service. Some found it reasonably priced with friendly wait staff. Guests talked of the seafood chowder, mussels and lobster cakes given out on Friday arrivals and great cocktails at the bar.

Parking was easy to access with lots of room to load and unload luggage when checking in or out.

Guests who spoke of the gym found it well equipped and enjoyed having chilled towels available along with a water cooler and some guests were pleased with the warm and clean pool, finding it pleasant, open late (11 pm) and not crowded.

One recent guest who had on-site massage from Sore Spot said the service was excellent.

The Bad
Guests were generally pleased, but some did offer a little negative feedback.

Some found the rooms a little dated, with small bathrooms which a few guests said also needed a refresh.

Some also found the hot tub a little small and the pool area dated.

Occasionally there was noise disturbance. Guests cited AC units, rooms near the elevator, guests in the hallways and adjoining rooms and construction noise from a nearby garage.
