The GoodGuests who stayed at this hotel seemed very happy and quite satisfied with the property. They frequently expressed approval for the hotel's suites, the staff, and the location.
The guest suites at this hotel were liked for several different reasons. Guests commonly indicated that the suites were clean, that they were large or even "huge", and that they offered enjoyable views of the downtown area. Many guests who mentioned the beds at the hotel were impressed with how comfortable they were. Some compliments were actually pretty heavy as one reviewer, for example, said the beds were "to die for."
The staff of the Cambridge Suites Halifax barely received a complaint. Very often guests described hotel employees as "friendly" or "helpful" while others said that the staff were "accommodating."
The location of the hotel made also it a popular pick as numerous guests found the property very central to several tourist attractions or Halifax destinations. Some guests were general and just called the location "great" while others specifically mentioned the hotel's close proximity either to shopping, to restaurants, to the waterfront, to the Citadel, or to Dalhousie University.
The Bad
There were not a lot of complaints for this hotel and there were even fewer emotional or strongly worded complaints.
However one area that did receive attention from many patrons was the hotel's breakfast. Numerous guests said that there was not enough selection or they indicated that they found the food to be of poor quality. One unsatisfied breakfast patron called the meal "unexciting."
Occasionally guests complained about the parking fee at the hotel which was $16 per night. It was particularly bothersome to one guest who was surprised by the fee. Additionally some guests indicated that they thought the room rates at the hotel were overpriced, expensive, or pricey.
However complaints were atypical in this hotel's reviews as most guests seemed happy or satisfied.
