The Good
The majority of reviews consulted for this analysis were positive with praise going to the hotel's location, rooms, and staff.

Many reviewers praised the hotel's location. It was described as being in a serene location by Lake Thomas, close to Halifax Airport and downtown Halifax. It was mentioned several times that the close proximity to the airport coupled with the tranquil setting was a strong point of this hotel.

The hotel's rooms were a source of numerous compliments by guests. They were described as clean, with great views of the lake and good water pressure. One lodger remarked, "Without question the most comfortable hotel bed anywhere we have stayed". It should be mentioned however, that a few reviewers found the decor to be dated and in need of freshening up.

Several guests were pleased with the hotel's staff and characterized them as efficient, personable and professional. While many reviewers found the staff to be helpful, it should be mentioned that a few guests reported not being properly informed of the hotel's available services by the staff.

The Bad
While most of the reviews consulted for this analysis were positive, there were a couple of complaints among them regarding the lack of elevator, and noise transfer.

Some guests had complaints that the hotel didn't provide an elevator to its second and third floors. These reviewers cautioned that guests with mobility issues should book rooms on the first floor to avoid this inconvenience.

Noise disturbances were an issue for a few reviewers. These lodgers complained of highway noise in both highway-facing rooms and outside in the beach and gazebo areas, and TV noise from adjacent rooms was also reported by some guests.
