The guests that liked the hotel's location typically mentioned that there was shopping nearby. Many guests also indicated that the hotel was in an "accessible location" that could easily reach "many points" in the Dartmouth/Halifax region. Part of this was due to the "easy access to the bridge" that connected Halifax and Dartmouth.
The staff at the hotel were commonly described as amicable and willing to help. For example, one guest said that "everyone" was "extremely friendly and helpful." One guest felt that "they must be...motivated to provide good service."

The Bad
Guests that were not entirely happy with their stay usually made negative comments about the breakfast or the lack of elevator service.
Guests that complained about the breakfast often did so in regard to food quality. One guest acknowledged that the meal "was free" but still mentioned "tough" eggs and bacon that he thought was both "under cooked" and greasy. Another guest said that "the so called free breakfast was a joke."
Guests also complained about the breakfast service and there were many complaints about wait times. There seemed to be a low ratio of wait staff to tables as one guest said that "there were several tables...and only one girl looking after all of us."
When it came to the hotel's facilities, many guests complained about the fact that there was no elevator serving their rooms. Some guests who stayed on the second floor found moving their luggage to be "a pain".
