Overview
The Days Inn & Suites Yellowknife, formally a Chateau Nova property, is situated on a major thoroughfare in the city centre of Yellowknife. This hotel is well located for both leisure and business travellers looking to access downtown destinations on foot. The Aurora Village, a traditional aboriginal aurora-viewing area, is 4 minutes away on foot. 

This hotel is 100% smoke free and all rooms include free Wi-Fi, a TV, a coffeemaker, a mini-fridge, bathrobes and slippers, an iron and ironing board, a hair dryer and air conditioning. Studio suites also include a jetted tub. One-bedroom suites include a fully equipped kitchen, a sofabed and a separate bedroom. 

Free parking, including cold weather plug-ins, is available on site. A free airport shuttle is available and operates from 5:30 am to 6:30 pm on a set schedule. Pets are not permitted.

The on-site Avens Glacier restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Other on-site amenities include a fitness centre, a sauna, a business centre, meeting space, freezer storage for fish and game catches, laundry and dry cleaning service, luggage storage and safe deposit boxes.

The Diavik Diamond Mines Inc. Visitor's Centre is a 7-minute walk away. The Northern Frontier Visitors Centre and the Art Walk are both 9 minutes away on foot, while the Northern Arts and Cultural Centre is an 11-minute walk away. The Wildcat Cafe, Yellowknife's oldest eatery, and the Yellowknife Waterdome are both a 17-minute walk or a 4-minute drive away.

Many enjoyed the rooms and found them comfortable and clean. One guest said "well made up". A couple reviewers specifically mentioned the beds as very comfortable. Some guests said the rooms were quiet, although there were some who had noise complaints (see below for more details).

Many guests found the location convenient for walking to many downtown destinations, while a couple of reviewers appreciated the free airport shuttle service. Guests named restaurants, the legislature, museum, tour companies, unique northern attractions and shopping all being within walking distance.

The staff were frequently complimented for their attentive and helpful service.

Many guests enjoyed the food on site at the restaurant and several mentioned that the fitness room was very clean and well equipped.
