Angel House Heritage Inn and Suites is a private country home with only four guest rooms and located in the middle of the city and approximately seven miles south of Saint John International Airport. Built in 1879 for the Angel family, owners of one of the first iron foundries in Saint John, the inn is set back from the road on an acre of landscaped grounds. These include a formal garden, extensive lawns, herb and vegetable gardens, stone retaining walls, mature trees, and flowering shrubs. The house's amenities include the gardens, bookshop, DVD library, and garden shop. The original carriage house is now Angel House Antiques, devoted to late-19th- and early-20th-century china, clocks, historical art, and silver. High-speed Internet access and off-street parking are also available. All four rooms have private bathroom facilities, cable TV, telephones, fresh-cut flowers, and hairdryers.
