"Historical Saint John"
"The facility itself was very good. The staff were very helpful. The hotel is located next to the docks and downtown Saint John a very historical area. Only one problem. When we checked in they swiped our credit card to cover additional charges to the room. The person then charged the room rate on our credit card again. We had already paid for the room when we booked. If not for checking my credit card transactions online and seeing an additional charge on it I would have paid for the room twice."

"Convenient comfort with a helpful, friendly atmosphere."
"Greeted by plesasant and helpful if not completely informed staff. Had a terrific sized room which suited me if the decor was dated. All the positive aspects of my stay far outweighed anything that coudl have been percieved as negative."

"I do not understand why the St. John Hiton has to charge so much for parking when the other hotels supply it free ($15 to $18 a night is a little much). That is the only exspence that makes me want to consisder another location sometimes."

"Two other guests in lobby hot-spot shared this view with me and I agree strongly: It appeared like a rip-off that the hotel did not provide free wireless internet in the rooms! And even then, to want 12.95 per day for access was absurd and NOT customer friendly! I was shocked at this policy and recommend it be reconsidered. Otherwise, at was a pleasant experience given the choices in PEI."

"We stayed there two years ago in a more expensive room, which was much quieter. This year, the halls were pretty noisy along with electric alarm clocks going off after the rooms had been vacated. Apparently, there was a shortage of cleaning staff, we had to call to ask if our room was on the list on the first day after 1:30 p.m.
The staff responded well to our complaints in a professional and friendly manner. The food and staff in the lounge were excellent. We love the city of Saint John and the Hilton works well for us."

"Considering the price I paid for the hotel, I was very surprised to find that not only was there no iron, but there was also no fan in the bathroom. There was dust caked on the glasswear in the bathroom and around the moulding on the floor. The employees were very friendly - But overall. . .I think that this hotel certainly put more effort into making the initial appearance as attractive as possible (marble flooring) and lacked the detail i nthe individual rooms."

"Hot tub wasn't that hot, nor was the sauna, but overall, the Hilton is great value! We really enjoyed our comp. breakfast and the beds were the best I've ever slept in. Minibar is costly-watch out!"
