"The room my wife and I stayed-in had a powerful mold smell. The room was damp and musty. The matress was hard, the pillows were hard and damp, and the sheets were damp. The wood around the shower was discolored and had green mold in some places. When I pointed this out to the manager the next morning, he told me that the smell was just from the cedar logs and not from mold. My wife and I both disagree. We know what cedar smells like and we know what mold smells like. We had the worst night we ever have had in any of the hotels we have stayed at."

"The self serve breakfast was good, staff were very friendly and personable.
The outside of the cabins look nice but the room itself could use some work....ie new curtains, steam clean the carpet, new sheets (they seemed a bit old and used a lot, very thin)and new lamps. You don't have to spend a lot of money on these things, there are lots of nice items you can get a the local Walmart or Zellers which are very reasonalbly priced which would help make the room a little bit nicer.
The patio tables and chairs were great to sit at and relax in the sun, nicely manicured lawn area, easy access to the room (drive up to the door)
Overall, not a bad place to stay for the price. It was close to all things downtown in St Andrews. All within walking distance or biking distance.

"Bed too soft, impossible to sleep;
Dirt on the wall and under the bed;
Mildew on the wall in the shower;
Continental deluxe breakfast=toast with margarine/cheese + coffee.
Very expensive."
