The Good
The majority of the critiques sourced for this analysis were positive, with much praise going to the hotel's location, staff and rooms.

Many reviewers praised the hotel's location, and found it to be close to Mount Allison, Waterfowl Park, Tim Hortons, a grocery store, a liquor store, an art gallery and more. Several guests mentioned accessing local amenities on foot. One guest remarked that you can't do better than the Coastal Inn if you're visiting or passing through Sackville.

The hotel's staff were the source of numerous compliments by lodgers, and were characterized as helpful, pleasant and congenial. One guest stated that the staff really set the experience apart because they were lovely, warm, friendly and keen to help.

Several reviewers were pleased with their accommodations. They described their rooms as clean, spacious and well equipped, with comfortable beds. It should be mentioned however, that a couple of guests has issues with their rooms (see below).
The Bad
While the majority of critiques consulted for this analysis were positive, there were a few common complaints about the rooms and noise transfer.

While the majority of reviewers described their accommodations as clean and comfortable, a couple of guests had complaints about their rooms. They reported their rooms did not provide a mini-fridge or microwave (although rooms that do offer those appliances are available for booking), cigarette odours despite the hotel being non-smoking, and an uncomfortable mattress.

Noise transfer was mentioned by a couple of guests. They reported highway noise from rooms facing the Trans-Canada Highway, as well as plumbing noise from rooms overhead.

"Good value."

"The hotel is within easy walking distance to the centre of town and the lovely waterfowl park. The air conditioning is kind of noisy. Breakfast is included and is adequate, although the room is small, so not always room to sit. Very good value for money."

"My only complaint is, for a hotel that offered little more than a clean, comfortable room, it seemed over priced for what the town offers. Staff was friendly; breakfast was included but we had to eat in our room since the dining area would only seat about 16 people (if I recall correctly) and there were many more people there when we went to eat. Beds were comfortable; bathroom was clean. It's a short walk to several restaurants, and not too far to walk to the university and downtown."
