Staff received top marks at this hotel. Guests described them as congenial, helpful and professional. Staff took extra steps to make sure that guests were well taken care of (i.e. ordering taxis, providing advice and directions for area attractions and clearing snow off of cars).
Rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable and well-equipped, according to guests.

The Bad
While the bulk of reviews used for this analysis were favourable, guests did commonly complain about noise disturbances.
A number of guests said that more could be done to soundproof the walls. Guests complained about loud footsteps from rooms above and noise from adjacent rooms. One guest complained about a loud train whistle coming from outside.
A number of guests said that the hotel was showing its age and suggested updates to general room decor, linens, fixtures and furniture.
A couple of guests had issues regulating the temperature in their rooms and found the rooms either too hot or too cold. Some guests felt that the air conditioning and heating units were noisy.
