"The food at the restaurant was terrible. We had mussles and they were tough and salty. I'm a maritimer and felt like going back into the kitchen to teach them how to cook. The chicken was over cooked, the bread on the sandwich was burned. I, as a home cook, wouldn't have served what we got to paying customers. We stay at this hotel every year and have been pleased. The restaurant would be the place I would concentrate on improving. For the cost of the food, we will go elsewhere from now on."

"Other than the construction going on, it was pretty good. About 1/2 hr. after I left the motel I realized I forgot my watch and phoned so I could pick it up on my way back to N.S. They were quite obliging and it was there when I dropped by 3 days later. Thank you."

"We found the hotel was easy to locate from the highway. The staff were very friendly and the food in the restaurent was good. "Our stay was not a bad experience, but was *WAY* overpriced at regular rates. I felt very cheated after paying and will certainly never go back. This was a 2-3 star hotel charging 4+ star standards. Not recommended unless you pay less than $79 per night."

"You need help in the restaurant. Our server did not know the soup of the day when asked and asked us if we'd like him to find out! He also brought soya sauce instead of olive oil and when asked about the house dressing, said it was the house dressing, but didn't know what it was made from. He also "auctioned," the plates -- "Who gets this, who gets that," which is always a sign that servers are disinterested in what the clients have ordered. The food was alright but somewhat expensive. If the restaurant were in my home town, I'd never go back because of the prices and the service. Training would be useful for the staff"

"Air conditioner not working properly.
Window left open and handle broken. Had to remove screen to manually close window.
Room door loose and rattling.
Bathroom door too tight to close.
Room was well prepared and staff very helpful."

"We used this as an overnight stop on a long journey since it was very conveniently located adjacent to a major highway. It was clean, comfortable, well decorated and the staff were very pleasant and efficient.
We would certainly use it again since it met all our needs after a tiring day."
