The GoodGuests that stayed at the Victoria Inn and Conference Centre were generally happy with the hotel. Guests were frequently positive about the location of the property, the hotel's pool, and the staff.
Guests that liked the hotel's location were almost entirely airport patrons. Many of these guests mentioned that the hotel had a free airport shuttle which some guests called "convenient." Occasionally a guest indicated that he/she liked the location of the hotel for access to major road routes.
The pool at the hotel received a lot of praise and, according to parents, kids that were staying at the hotel really liked the waterslides. The pool area was sometimes described as more of a waterpark as opposed to a standard hotel pool. Several guests that were traveling with children seemed to appreciate having the facility and one parent/guest, for example, said that her kids "had a blast."
The staff at the hotel also received frequent praise and they were commonly referred to as "friendly" and/or helpful.
The Bad
Some guests did not fully enjoy their stay at this hotel and a few weak points stood out.
Multiple guests said that the pool at the hotel had too many chemicals in it. As a result of those chemicals, a couple guests said that their children had irritated eyes and/or skin after swimming.
Many guests had some sort of trouble with the Internet at the property. One guest said that it didn't work while a few other guests indicated that the signal was weak or that downloading was slow. For example, one guest said that the "Wifi was not strong enough to reach (his/her) room on the third floor."
Occasionally a guest judged the hotel to be old. One guest said the property needed "a makeover," another guest called the hotel "tired," while another guest said the property was "a little old."
Some guests felt like the hotel had a bad social atmosphere. Multiple guests described smokers hanging out in the front entrance, a scenario that gave off a bad vibe and made one reviewer "feel very uncomfortable."

Expedia.ca guest ratings averaged to 3.9 points out of 5 and 80% of guests recommend the property.
