OverviewThe Radisson Hotel is newly renovated and located in the heart of downtown Winnipeg, a mere 1-minute walk to the MTS Centre venue.
The 100% smoke-free and air-conditioned property has 30 floors and 263 newly-renovated guest rooms and suites. With 13,000 sq. ft. of meeting and banquet space, the hotel can accommodate large groups of up to 400 guests for conventions, conferences and gala dinners.
Food facilities at the hotel feature a restaurant and lounge called 12 Resto Bar, serving Continental cuisine with vistas of Winnipeg from the 12th floor. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Room service with full menu is offered daily and a Starbucks cafe is available in the hotel's main lobby.
The hotel features a 24-hour fitness centre with new equipment, a 24-hour business centre, concierge services, ATM and bank, free Wi-Fi available throughout the hotel, a free morning shuttle service which operates weekday mornings to downtown destinations, free newspapers and free local calls.

All rooms and suites feature Sleep Number beds (which adjust the hardness and comfort level of each side of the bed individually with air chambers that contour to your body), Italian linens, white feather duvets, a flat screen TV, a mini-fridge, an individual AC unit, an executive desk and chair, a hair dryer, an iron and ironing board, a microwave, and two telephones with voicemail and data ports.
Standard rooms offer a choice of 1 king, 1 queen or 2 double beds. Executive Suites feature a bedroom and separate living area and also include a complimentary deluxe continental breakfast Monday through Friday from 7 am to 10 am, a cordless phone, a sofabed, a wet bar, a kitchenette, and a refrigerator.
Business Class hotel rooms (available to all at a surcharge of $30), offer early check-in, iHome clock radio with iPod/MP3 connection, an upgrade to the best available room in the hotel, a spacious work desk, extra electrical outlets by the desk, a comfortable work chair, an in-room safe, upgraded bathroom amenities, bathrobe and slippers, one drink voucher per night, turn-down service, Wall Street Journal delivery to the room on weekdays, and free breakfast for one guest per day, or up to $23 of room service per day.

The GoodThe Radisson Hotel pleased the majority of its guests who recently reviewed their stay in online reviews used for this analysis.
The staff received a lot of compliments from recent hotel guest reviewers. Guests said they were friendly and helpful and described their service as excellent.
With newly-renovated rooms and public spaces (except for lobby to date), guests enjoyed the hotel and reported in guest reviews online that they found this hotel to be an excellent place to stay. One guest remarked, "completely remodeled inside--everything is immaculate". Another said, "the restaurant is nicely updated and the view of our city is spectacular".
Many guest reviewers considered the rooms to be clean, comfortable and well-maintained. Many guests thought the beds were comfortable, although there were some guests who either had trouble setting the Sleep Number beds to a comfortable setting or just said that they did not like them.
Parking was considered to be inexpensive and safe and the parking lot was well lit according to the reviewers.
Of the guests who commented about safety and security, most indicated that they felt safe at the hotel due to the constant security personnel on hand in the lobby and the heightened security measures taken by the hotel for their guests.
The location was also well-liked by guests and considered convenient to a variety of downtown sites for business meetings, hockey games and concerts. One guest advised, "If you are attending an event at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, I strongly recommend this hotel."

The Bad
There were not a lot of negative comments by guests regarding this hotel, of the recent reviews found online and used for this analysis, however more than one guest did note that the lobby needed updating.
A few guests also found their rooms to be small, (and dark according to one guest).
A couple of guests also remarked that the parking was not easy to navigate.
A couple of guests mentioned that the hotel had loiterers around the building which gave rise to a question of safety.
The gym was considered to be limited by a couple of guests who supplied reviews online recently however in speaking with the Front Desk staff, it seems that the hotel may have added new equipment lately in their renovations.
