OverviewQuality Inn & Suites Winnipeg is located on Pembina Highway just south of Grant Avenue, about an 11-minute drive to downtown Winnipeg and 19 minutes by car to Winnipeg's international airport.
The Quality Inn is a four-storey hotel with one elevator and 70 guest rooms and suites. The hotel is non-smoking except for some guest rooms. Some rooms have been recently renovated and the hotel offers extended stay rates for those guests wishing to stay for longer periods of time.
The hotel offers a free deluxe hot and cold breakfast each morning from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., free wireless Internet throughout the hotel, free parking, free newspapers, free local calls and free coffee. The hotel also offers complimentary emailing, photocopying, faxing and printing services.
Basic rooms include 2 double beds, in-room AC units, remote cable/satellite television with 70 channels, clock radio, telephone with voice mail, refrigerator, coffeemaker, hairdryer, ironing board with iron, and work desk area. Upgraded rooms with plasma televisions, DVD players, microwaves, kitchen facilities, and hot tubs are available.
Other hotel amenities and services include a fitness centre, a 24 hour business centre, same day dry cleaning service, laundry facilities, safety deposit box, car rental service, wake-up service, truck and bus parking (with cold-weather plug in), and a valet cleaning service. Pets are allowed for a surcharge of $15 per night for each pet.
Food facilities include Lexy's Family Restaurant serving Italian-style food for lunch and dinner and a pub called Winn City Pub featuring 50" plasma TVs, full-swing golf simulators and pool tables. Room service is also available to guests.
Check in is at 3:00 p.m. and check-out is at 11:00 a.m.

The GoodGuests typically enjoyed their stay at the Quality Inn and thought it offered good value.
The free daily buffet breakfast, was very much enjoyed by a great deal of guests who reviewed online recently. It was described as exceptional by pleased guests.
Friendly staff was another strong positive for the hotel. Guests referred to the staff as being considerate, welcoming and helpful. One guest said that the staff always had a smile and worked very hard to insure that guests were looked after. Some staff members were often mentioned by name, thanked in the reviews and given credit for the good experience of the hotel.
Rooms were appreciated for being clean, quiet, and having a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. Some guests mentioned certain aspects of the room and amenities enjoyed such as the refrigerator, extra pillows, comfortable beds, great showers, excellent towel supply, and air-conditioning and heating units that were quiet and easy to adjust.
Wireless Internet was said to work perfectly and without a hitch by guests. Also location was another plus by reason of centrality to the city and shopping. Parking was appreciated for being easily accessed and free.
Last of all, there were many returning guests who recommended the hotel and some of the returning guests said they found the hotel to be situated in a safe neighbourhood, and found no better price and service in Winnipeg.
The Bad
Although in the minority, in the reviews sourced, guests with concerns raised a few issues.
The most common complaint was from guests who had difficulty finding a parking spot due to locals who frequented the hotel's bar. The bar itself received mixed reviews as some enjoyed the bar while others said it was not up to hotel standards with regard to the food and menu selection.
Another couple of reviewers brought up complaints regarding the hotel's restaurant, one stating that the hotel's restaurant was not family-friendly and another stating that the food was terrible.
A couple of guests noticed that the housekeeping staff had not cleaned their rooms, dusted properly nor made the beds properly during their stay.
One guest complained of noise in their room from the nearby elevator.
One reviewer complained of the smell of smoke in the hallways which were nearby to the non-smoking rooms.
Other varied complaints concerned those who felt the room they stayed in was small, the lobby was small and the elevator and hallways were tight.
