The GoodThis hotel was favourably reviewed by most guests, in the reviews sourced for this analysis. The on-site restaurant, customer service, clean rooms and convenient location were commonly praised by reviewers.
Numerous guests enjoyed the breakfast, restaurant food, bar food and room service at the Norwood Hotel and typically gave it high marks.
Many guests thought highly of the staff calling them efficient, friendly and competent. Some mentioned check-in staff providing good and friendly service, and some spoke of the good quality housekeeping staff.
Location was another plus for guests at the Norwood. Some considered the neighbourhood to be safe, and others praised the location for its nearness to the St. Bonifice Hospital, for being walkable to downtown, and for its easy access to restaurants and shopping.
The hotel in general and guest rooms were considered clean, comfortable and very quiet by many pleased and returning guests. A couple of guests also mentioned that there was plenty of free parking. One guest reviewer mentioned he chose this hotel over downtown hotels because of the free parking offered.
The Bad
There were not many complaints found online for the Norwood Hotel, from guest reviewers who posted reviews recently, and of those used for this analysis.
However, one guest mentioned that he was displeased that the housekeeping was knocking loudly on the neighbouring guest room door at 9:00 a.m. It was not certain if there were provided Do Not Disturb and Please Clean Room signs for the guests to place on their door handles in order to avoid unwanted disturbances.
One guest thought the hotel was a bit dated.
Also, while numerous guests mentioned that the hotel and rooms were very clean, one person thought that his or her bathroom could have been cleaner, with fresher smelling and softer towels.
