"THE FOOD AT THE RESTAURANT WAS AVERAGE AND THE GIFT SHOP HAD VERY LITTLE TO OFFER FOR SOMEONE THAT WOULD COME FROM OUT OF TOWN. NOT ENOUGH NEEDED ITEMS AND TOO MUCH TOYS...IT ALSO DIDN'T HAVE MANITOBA OR WINNIPEG ITEMS OR POSTCARDS TO SHOW OFF OUR WONDERFUL PROVINCE AND CITY."

"I was made to feel comfortable and at home. The staff were courteous and kind to a fault. I really felt pampered at your hotel and will be re-booking with you in 3 weeks as I have another trip coming up. Thanks to everyone that made my stay an enjoyable one.
I would like to point out that I have re-united with my childhood sweet heart that I met at the age of 14 years old. Because of the time we spent at your hotel we are now going to get married 25 years later. Thank you for helping us and being a part of something so wonderful."

"Being on Portage it is very easy to go to any part of town or the race track which is where we went. We've stayed here many times in years past and just seem to go back....(the resturant does need help in preparing a prime rib) Taste was excellent, but the portion was child-like size..I'm a meat cutter and I've never seen a piece of prime rib so small. Otherwise very good.."
