The GoodGuests that stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton Winnipeg International Airport were typically impressed with the hotel. Several guests indicated that they liked the property’s location while many others thought that the hotel was quiet.
The guests that liked the hotel’s location were overwhelmingly impressed with the close proximity to the new YWG airport. On several occasions guests mentioned that they had flights and many of guests indicated that the hotel was in the perfect setting for getting to those flights in a timely manner.
One guest, for example, said the property was situated in the “perfect location” for “early morning flights” while another guest said the airport was just “a 2 minute walk” from the hotel. Some guests also mentioned that the hotel had a free airport shuttle.
The hotel received only the occasional complaint about noise and much more often guests said that the property was “quiet.” The number of compliments that the hotel received for being peaceful seemed especially high given that the property was an airport hotel - properties that are typically noisy. One guest called the hotel “extremely quiet” while another guest said he/she “had no clue planes were landing right next door.”
The hotel staff also received a fair amount of compliments and guests generally thought that their rooms were clean with comfortable beds.

The Bad
Guests that were not entirely happy with their stay focused on a couple common areas.
Several guests who were familiar with the hotel mentioned that recent changes to the area did not all help the property.
For example, the Winnipeg airport opened a new terminal in late October of 2011 and many guests pointed out that the Sheraton lost a major convenience as a result. Some of these guests indicated that they could no longer access the terminal “by bridge” and that they had to go outside even “when it (was) cold.” Another guest said that the “convenience of the skywalk from the airport (was) no longer available.”
Occasionally guests mentioned that they were unhappy with having to pay for parking. These guests felt as though their room rates were high enough to include the service. Related to that, many guests felt as though the property's room rates were overpriced.
