The 100% non-smoking and air-conditioned property has 18 floors with 393 guest rooms and suites. Basic room (called Delta) amenities include television, separate phone line for data port, desk, coffeemaker, radio-alarm clock, 2 telephones, heated bathroom floors, ironing board with iron, hair dryer, June Jacobs Spa Collection toiletries and balconies. Microwaves and mini-fridges are available upon request for a surcharge of $35 per stay for each or for both. Extra cots and baby cots are free of charge. Children under 17 stay for free and pets are permitted ($35 fee for each 5 day period, maximum 2 pets per room).
There are a variety of rooms and suite combinations available including the Signature Club rooms which offer luxurious amenities with complimentary breakfast, hors d'oeuvres and honour bar in the Club Lounge.
Services at the hotel include free wireless Internet throughout the hotel, a free downtown shuttle service Monday to Friday, and a 24 hour Business Centre. Valet parking is $20 per 24 hour day, and self-parking is $15 for 24 hours. All parking comes with in-and-out privileges. The hotel also offers laundry and dry-cleaning services. Guests also have free use of the Odyssey Health Club, which includes an indoor and outdoor pool, whirlpool, sauna and fitness room.
The Delta hotel offers a daily buffet breakfast, with a choice of a Continental style for $10.50 or a hot and cold buffet for $14.50. In-room dining is available 24 hours per day with various and extensive menu options and hotel will accommodate special diets and requests.
This hotel features an on-site restaurant called the Blaze Bistro and Lounge, serving casual yet upscale dining. Children under 6 eat for free and children 7 to 12 can eat half-price from the regular menu. The Elephant and Castle restaurant and lounge serves a complete dinner menu with British classics. The Urban Bean serves grab-and-go snacks for breakfast and lunch along with Second Cup coffee.

The GoodOverall the Delta Winnipeg was a well-liked hotel with returning guests who typically found the staff to be amenable in the reviews used for this analysis.
The staff and the service they provide were the most prominent highlights of the Delta according to recent online reviews used for this analysis.
Location was also very highly praised with guests being pleased to be within walking distance of the MTS Centre venue, The Forks Market and restaurants.
The restaurant's food and service also received many compliments, some praising the good breakfast buffet and some referring specifically to the Elephant and Castle pub.
Many thought the hotel was clean and said the beds were comfortable with excellent linens.
Other guests who were pleased made mention of the heated bathroom floors, the indoor parking, the Wi-Fi, the balconies and the fresh air it afforded the rooms, the quietness of the rooms, the nice views from the rooms, and the "great pool and workout area".
The Bad
The most common complaint regarding the Delta was the age of the building, interior and rooms.
Some said the hotel was old but clean, it appears from comments made by the management of the hotel, in answer to some of the hotel reviews made by guests in this regard, that renovation plans are underway.
Although a few guests commented positively regarding the indoor parking, one person was quite upset that parking was an extra charge and felt this made the hotel too costly.
There were a couple of guests who complained about the old-style televisions and one person complained about the room service food being expensive and not worth the price.
