The GoodThis hotel was enjoyed by the majority of its guests who recently reviewed their stay in online reviews used for this analysis.
The staff received a lot of praise from the guests. They were described as warm, friendly and polite. Stories were told online how the hotel staff went out of their way to help the guests.
The continental breakfast was appreciated by online guests reviewers who said it was fresh and good.
The beds were considered by hotel reviewers to be clean and comfortable with good quality linens and blankets.
Parking was appreciated along with the cold-weather hook-ups. One guest inquired as to the safety of vehicles in the lot which were left behind for extended stays, and was informed that the hotel has security cameras and security personnel who drive through the parking lot at night.
Although the hotel is located on Pembina Highway close to the Trans Canada Highway, guests noted that it was quiet. The location of this hotel was considered easy to find and convenient to those traveling on the Trans Canada highway, with many restaurants close by.
One guest remarked very happily about the Wi-Fi and said that he needed to stay in touch daily with his work and found the hotel's wireless very reliable for his repeated and extended stays.
One guest seemed to sum it up by saying: "Not a real extravagant hotel, but it has all the comforts."
Guests said they planned to return to this hotel and more than one considered it a good value.
The Bad
Although most reviewers spoke favourably about the hotel, some guests provided negative feedback in recent reviews online sourced for this summary.
A couple of guests mentioned that the pet walking area was very small.
A couple of other guests also found that access to the hotel from the highway was a bit complex or tricky.
One guest mentioned that he found the air-conditioning unit hard to adjust. Yet another claimed the same about the heating unit in the room and maintained that the room was either too hot when on or too cold when turned off, but added that this was a minor problem to an overall good experience at the hotel.
One reviewer complained that the hotel lacked a pool or hot tub and another found the room to be a bit cramped.
A guest reviewer complained about a hockey group creating noise and had wished that all the hockey groups could have been put in the same part of the hotel, however this was an isolated comment.
