OverviewThe Comfort Inn Airport Winnipeg located at 1770 Sargent Avenue in Winnipeg provides quick and easy access to the international airport of Winnipeg and to the shopping and restaurants of the Polo Park Shopping Centre, both a 5-minute drive away.
The pet-friendly ($10/per night), two-storey hotel features 80 guest rooms. There is no elevator access to the second floor and there are no meeting facilities at the hotel as has been erroneously stated on some online sites.
Hotel amenities include free wireless Internet throughout the hotel, free on-demand shuttle service to the airport, photocopy and fax services, free weekday newspapers, free local calls and free coffee available in the lobby 24 hours per day. Parking is free (and not paid as is mentioned on some websites) with motor coach parking also available. The hotel has handi-cap access and accessible rooms.
A free Continental breakfast is provided daily from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Monday to Friday, and from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on weekends offering coffee, tea, juice, milk, cold cereal, fresh fruit, toaster-style waffles, toast, English muffins, and regular muffins.
Basic room amenities include plush bedding, 32" LCD televisions with cable and satellite access, irons and ironing boards, hairdryers, in-room air-conditioning, in-room coffee makers and pay-per-view movies. All ground floor rooms feature drive-up access to a patio style door.
Room styles offered are: 2 Double Beds, 1 Queen, 1 King or a Standard Queen. There are a limited number of smoking rooms available and the hotel imposes a fine of $250 to guests who smoke in a non-smoking room. Additional amenities include mini-fridges, microwaves, desks and ergonomic executive chairs, and sofa beds.
Children under 18 years stay free when using existing beds. Baby cots are supplied for an extra $5 per night for children 4 years and under. One extra bed may be ordered per room at a cost of $8 per night.
Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and check-out time is 11a.m.

The GoodMost guests of the Comfort Inn Airport Winnipeg were happy with their stay and experiences and paid compliments to the location and cleanliness of the property in recent online reviews used for this analysis.
The staffs' overall performance for the most part was praised and guests called them friendly, efficient and helpful.
More than one cited the rooms as being clean and spacious with a great bed and one commented on the recently re-decorated room and upper hallway.
The location was considered to be good and close to the airport and the free airport shuttle was well appreciated by guests.
Most guests seemed to appreciate the convenience of having a free continental breakfast available before rushing off to the airport to catch their plane. It was considered adequate, modest and of average quality.
The Bad
Although most recent guests were pleased with their experiences, there were a few that offered some negative feedback and even some constructive criticism in recent online reviews used for this analysis.
One person considered the hotel in general to have an aged look.
Another mentioned that although he was a senior, he was given a room on the second floor with no assistance in bringing up his heavy luggage to his room while having to carry them up a flight of stairs.
Another guest complained that there was no vending machines on the second floor.
One reviewer in particular was displeased that the hair dryer did not function due to trouble with the electrical outlet. Upon notifying the staff of the problem, it appeared that this was a previously known problem that had not been quickly rectified.
One reviewer said that the hotel needed a larger breakfast area with a greater variety of items offered. He also thought the hotel was pricey.
