The GoodGenerally speaking, the reviews used for this analysis were positive and the two most complimented aspects of this hotel had to do with its location and the value guests felt they got for the price they paid.
Reviewers described the hotel as being an easy walk from the lifts and the rest of the village and said it was very convenient. Guests also appreciated that it wasn't on top of any bars, like some hotels in the Village, so it was relatively quiet.
Guests also felt that considering the price of other hotels in the Village, the price they paid here offered good value for a stay in the Village. While some of these guests acknowledged some of the hotel's shortcomings (described below), they forgave them because of what they paid.
For the most part, guests described clean, comfortable and well-equipped rooms. Many guests considered the free breakfast and ski and bike storage good value-added features.
The Bad
While many of the reviews sourced for this analysis were positive, there were a few complaints among them, notably about expensive parking and indifferent staff.
Most reviewers who discussed the parking described it as too expensive ($18/day). Many of these reviewers also said that the parking is described as valet parking however a valet only parks the car and that the guests must retrieve their own car in the parking garage when they wish to leave, which some considered an inconvenience.
While some guests reported good experiences with the front desk staff, the majority described the staff as indifferent or uninformed, leading to some frustration with unmet requests and inaccurate information being passed along.
Many reviewers who stayed in rooms without air conditioning complained that their rooms were too hot during summer nights, making it difficult to sleep.
Some reviewers mentioned that the hotel is starting to show its age and is in need of upgrades. Some of this was attributed to the fact that skiers and bikers bring their equipment into the hotel, resulting in related wear and tear.
