The Good
The majority of the reviews sourced for this analysis were positive, with praise going to the hotel's location, rates and rooms.

Many guests praised the hotel's location, finding it close to Whistler Village, Lost Lake, skiing, golfing, public transit, Sea to Sky bike trail and Wedgemount Lake. One patron noted, "Because it is only 5 minutes away from Lost Lake and its many X country ski trails and snowshoe trails, the location is fantastic. Even better in the summer when you can bike, walk, jog and run in the area. Located close to the second tee of the Chateau Whistler golf course, the surroundings are very scenic".

The hotel's rates were appreciated by several lodgers, who described them as very good, affordable and reasonable.

Several reviewers were pleased with their accommodations at the hotel. They found their rooms to be updated, well equipped, spacious, quiet and clean. Some travellers were disappointed with their lodgings, however (see below).

The Bad
While the majority of reviews consulted for this analysis were positive, there were a few common complaints about the lack of front desk service, the rooms and the parking.

Some guests were disappointed at the lack of front desk service at the hotel. They reported the front desk was manned only on weekends and also complained that check-in was located at a different hotel, not within walking distance. However, guests may want to note that the second location (Blackcomb Lodge, as noted above) offers 24-hour front desk service.

Although several reviewers were pleased with their clean and updated rooms, some lodgers were disappointed with their accommodations. They reported worn carpets, small TVs, uncomfortably hard beds and a lack of storage space.

The hotel's additional fee for parking was criticized by some guests, who felt it should have been included in the room rates.
