"They charged me $10.00 extra for my small dog. Out of the six hotels I stayed at during my trip this is the only hotel to charge me extra for a pet. I can see getting a deposit and inspecting the room, but extra charges not warranted. I also had to sign a statutary declaration stating I would not allow my pet in certain areas or on their bed linens or furniture in the room. This is also the only hotel requiring this on my trip.
I had a wireless laptop. In order to access their wireless network I required to get a access code from the desk. This I did but although I was told this was good for 24 hours it really was only good for one useage. When I logged off then tried logging on several hours later I was refused and would have had to repeat the process to again get access. This was totally not customer friendly and results in my thinking twice about staying in another holiday inn express"

"I specifically asked for a non smoking room when I reserved. Upon arrival I didn't confirm that at the front desk. When I went to my room it was a smoking room...very smelly!!! We were fortunate enough that there was one non smoking room left. A few minutes later and we would have been out of luck. The bad news we were on the first floor which was really in the basement..kinda dungeon like!!! I also had to ask to have my rate changed as I went to a cheaper smaller room. They were very polite, but not too proactive."
