The Good
This hotel was appreciated for its central location, delicious breakfast, old world charm and quiet atmosphere.

Rooms were very clean with comfy beds. Some rooms were larger and some smaller, but guests liked the updates and modern showers.

The location was perfect—an easy walk to harbour, restaurants and attractions.

Staff were mentioned by name often and helped make the stay. They were friendly, informative and accommodating.

Breakfast was well liked with lots of choice and great coffee. A few said it was the best breakfast ever.

The dining room never failed to impress with reasonable prices and excellent quality.

Guests also liked: the garden patio with beautiful views of the harbour, the original elevator, free beverages in the lobby and relaxing the dress code for hotel guests having their free breakfast.

The Bad
Some guests offered negative feedback.

Room complaints found were: room lacked air conditioning, needed a better fan, room was small, bathroom needed a shelf, pillows too high, an uncomfortable sofa and poor view.

Noise transferred from: electric fan, and weekend revellers in front of the hotel.

Other comments found: entrance was hard to find, had to carry suitcase up stairs when entering, facilities are older, dress code required to access common areas, and hotel more suited to adults than families.
