Several guests felt that the hotel represented excellent value for the price paid. Phrases like "good value for the money", "perfect for the price" and "reasonable rates" were reflective of the overall sentiment.

There were a few other amenities and options offered at the hotel that impressed guests. Many liked the convenience of having a free shuttle bus to the downtown Victoria area, especially as this hotel is a bit removed from the downtown core. The Bad
While most guest reviews were favourable, there were a few common themes among the complaints - specifically the dining options, the pub and the ice machine.
Noise was a factor for a number of guests, most of whom indicated that the on-site pub and adjacent car park were noisy, and that the noise often continued until late in the evening and the early morning hours. While the pub did serve dinner and lunch, several guests were disappointed that the on-site restaurant was open for breakfast only (these guests felt that nearby dining options were limited).
There was only one ice machine on site, according to a number of guests, which they found inconvenient. Some guests felt that the on-site parking was limited and that space was tight. In addition, a few guests were inconvenienced by the fact that this property does not have an elevator.
There were a few other peripheral complaints, centring on things like stale odours in the rooms and on the quality of the breakfast at the on-site restaurant.
Confirmed with a front desk agent: WI FI, parking, pet policy and shuttle (call date: June 5, 2012).
