Overview
Located about a 5-minute drive from Victoria's city centre and the Trans-Canada Highway, Spinnakers Guesthouses are geared towards travellers who prefer centrally located, bed-and-breakfast-type accommodations with extended kitchen amenities, a free breakfast easy highway access.

Spinnakers Guesthouses is comprised of three non-smoking buildings. All accommodations are equipped with free Wi-Fi, cable TV, a coffeemaker, a desk and an iron and ironing board. 

Rooms in the Heritage House also offer a private patio, a fireplace and a jetted tub or steamer shower. 

The Garden Suites offers a kitchenette or full kitchen, a separate bedroom, a fireplace and a jetted tub or rain shower. 

The hotel's Bungalow features a full kitchen as well as a separate bedroom and living room.

Hotel amenities include a gift shop, guest laundry, meeting space, free parking, a free beer and truffle tasting and a free breakfast. On-site dining is offered at Spinnakers Gastro Brewpub, which serves lunch and dinner daily. Pets are permitted in certain rooms (please contact the hotel for fees and details).

Westside Village Shopping Centre is roughly a 6-minute walk from the hotel, while Black Ball Ferry Line can be found 6 minutes away on foot. Fisherman's Wharf Park is about a 10-minute drive away and Victoria International Airport (YYJ) is a 27-minute drive away. (All distances and travel time estimates: Google Maps)

The majority of the reviews sourced for this analysis were positive, with much praise going to the hotel's staff, rooms, restaurant and location.

The hotel's staff were the source of numerous compliments by reviewers. They were found to be friendly, professional, helpful and efficient.

Many guests enjoyed their accommodations at the hotel. They described their rooms as clean, spacious, well equipped and quiet, with comfortable beds and pillows. A few patrons had complaints about their lodgings, however (see below).

Several lodgers enjoyed the hotel's on-site restaurant, describing it as wonderful, delicious and great. One guest remarked, "The [on-site] restaurant is top notch as well. The servers are knowledgable and friendly. The food is absolutely amazing. They purchase fresh local products where ever possible and it definitely shows in the quality of the food".

The hotel's location was praised by several travellers, who found it close to downtown, the waterfront, restaurants and shopping. One patron mentioned, "Spinnakers is located a 15 minute walk from downtown - it's a gorgeous walk along the water, so felt much shorter. There's also a water taxi that can get you there faster".
