Overview
Located a 1-minute drive from the nearest Trans-Canada Highway on-ramp and about a 4-minute drive from Victoria's city centre, the Rosewood Victoria Inn is suitable for travellers who prefer a small, centrally located inn with free Wi-Fi and easy highway access.

Each of this smoke-free hotel's guest rooms comes equipped with free Wi-Fi, cable TV, a DVD player, a balcony, a fireplace, a coffeemaker, a mini-fridge, a seating area, a hair dryer and an iron and ironing board. Rooms with a jetted tub are also available. The hotel is not wheelchair accessible and pets are not permitted.

The hotel also offers breakfast and afternoon tea (charges apply), a sitting room and free parking.

The British Columbia Legislature Building is roughly a 7-minute walk away, while James Bay Community Market can be found 5 minutes away on foot. Victoria Auto and Passenger Ferry Terminal is about an 8-minute walk from the hotel and Victoria International Airport (YYJ) is a 27-minute drive away. (All distances and travel time estimates: Google Maps)

The Good
The majority of the reviews sourced for this analysis were positive, with much praise going to the hotel's location, staff, rooms and breakfast. 

The hotel's location was praised by many lodgers. They found it close to downtown Victoria, public transit, the ferry terminal, a grocery store, the British Columbia Legislature Building, Royal BC Museum and Beacon Hill Park.

Numerous reviewers were pleased with the level of customer service they received during their stay. They characterized the staff as friendly, accommodating and helpful with dining and sightseeing recommendations. 

The hotel's accommodations were enjoyed by several guests. They described their rooms as clean, quiet, spacious and well equipped, with comfortable beds and pillows and good water pressure. A few travellers criticized their rooms, however (see below).

Several patrons were pleased with the hotel's breakfast, describing it as scrumptious, amazing, filling and delicious. One guest noted, "Breakfast is set up to introduce yourself to other guests, and though it might intimidate some, you can be surprised how quickly you discover interesting people sitting with you". A few lodgers were disappointed the breakfast was not included in the price, however.
