"It would be nice to have a little coffee machine in the rooms for a couple of cups of coffee early in the morning before being ready to go down to breakfast. I've been coming to the James Bay Inn for over 25 years and have noticed a trend away from older reception people who would go the extra mile for you and were extremely friendly, interested and nice toward younger reception persons who are polite but not really interested in the person they are helping. I expect it's a universal trend not specifically James Bay Inn, sadly."

The James Bay Inn is located in the heart of Victoria's heritage residential district. Its a short walk to the Inner Harbour & Downtown, the Pacific Ocean, and Beacon Hill Park (the largest park in the city, and certainly one of the most beautiful in Canada). This lovely hotel was constructed at the turn of the century and is typical of the latest string of 'Botique Hotels'; the Inn is a place of stay that is quiet, comfortable and characteristically old fashioned. There are a wide variety of of rooms from which to choose, including luxury and kitchenette suites. The recently renovated Colonial Dining Room is a great place to get a delicious meal, and later (or earlier, thats up to you.) you can unwind from a busy day in our warm and friendly neighbourhood pub, complete with a pool table, big screen TV and dart boards. Open horse carrige rides are available to take you on a tour of the Historic James Bay neighbourhood, the ocean side, Beacon Hill park, or beautiful Downtown. During your visit, the James Bay Inn will assure you of a stay that is quiet, clean and relaxing with very affordable rates. Its a perfect getaway from our fair city, yet near enough to remain immersed in it.
