The Good
Guests very much enjoyed their stay at this historic hotel.

They liked the rooms, which were described as spacious and well maintained, and some with kitchens and views of the harbour.

The location was prime—a quiet neighbourhood in walking distance to great restaurants, shops, Inner Harbour attractions, the sea walk and the parliament buildings.

The staff did a great job. Guests spoke fondly of having had pleasant interactions with staff members who were attentive, good at recommending restaurants and very considerate to guests.

The free breakfast was a hit. Guests were pleased with this extra perk and often spoke of the great variety offered.

Guests found the building nicely updated and beautifully lit at night and many enjoyed the manicured and pretty gardens. Guests with dogs appreciated places for their pets to roam. The underground parking was easy to negotiate.

Guests typically found the hotel to offer good value and many planned to return.

The Bad
There were a few complaints or nitpicks found online.

Some guests wished for air conditioning in the rooms, although the windows do open for air circulation. (There are plans to install air conditioning in all rooms by the spring of 2017. According to the manager responding to reviews, half of the rooms are fitted with air conditioners at August 2016.)

A few guests judged their rooms to be a little dated, but this sentiment was not commonly held by recent reviewers and renovations are ongoing according to the manager responding to reviews.

Some guests complained of noise transfer between the rooms, but some guests also found the hotel very quiet.
