There are a variety of different room types available, from standard rooms to more spacious suites with full kitchens. In all rooms, guests can expect free Wi Fi, an iron and an ironing board, a refrigerator, a microwave, a hair dryer, a coffeemaker and air conditioning. 

On-site dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner is offered at My Bar & Grill, open daily from 9:00am-10:00pm, but guests should note that there is no room service available. There is free on-site parking available and pets are welcome for a one-time fee of $25.

Many popular tourist attractions are located within short driving distances. The area of downtown Victoria is about a 5 minute drive away. Victoria's Inner Harbour and the Maritime Museum of BC are both about a 7 minute drive from the hotel. Travellers can expect a slightly longer drive to Butchart Gardens (11 minutes) and Beacon Hill Park (9 minutes). For travellers arriving by air, Victoria International Airport (YYJ) is 25.1km, or about a 28 minute drive north of the hotel (distances and driving time estimates: Google Maps). 

Check-in is at 3:00pm, while check-out is at 11:00am.

Some guests felt that the rooms were well-proportioned and spacious. These comments typically focused on the size of the kitchens, common areas in the rooms and the beds. Some guests felt that some of the larger rooms (suites) could easily house 4-6 adults comfortably. 

Several guests said that the pool was sizeable. Many guests enjoyed the pool, particularly those with children, saying that there was ample room in the pool for playing and swimming. As well, one family noted that the fitness room was conveniently located adjacent to the pool, with windows that made it easy for parents to supervise children swimming if they wanted to work out at the same time (which is obviously not something recommended to do if you have young children).

Of the guests that had complaints, several indicated a lack of detailed cleaning in their rooms, pointing out things like dirt remaining in corners and in the bathroom. In fact, some guests claimed housekeeping skipped their rooms entirely.

Many guests indicated that the rooms were dark. Additionally, of those that thought negatively of their rooms, there were frequent comments about "tired" decor and an overall sense that there was a need for renovations and upgrades. In the rooms, guests commented specifically on the state of the bedding, fixtures, furniture, towels and decor, saying that these items had a worn and shabby appearance and needed to be replaced.

Aside from the rooms, there were a few other peripheral complaints. Some said that Wi Fi access was frequently interrupted; some others complained that the kitchens in their suites were not fully stocked with dishes and utensils.
