The Good
For guests of this hotel, location was a positive factor, both because of the scenic views afforded by the proximity to the waterfront and because several attractions were within walking distance.

Guests appreciated being able to wander to a number of different attractions by foot, while leaving their cars in the hotel lot. Several guests commented on how quiet it was around the hotel, especially given its proximity to a downtown setting.

Guests commented frequently on the appearance of the hotel in general, using words like "elegant" and "classy" to describe their impressions. The amenities were appreciated by guests, particularly the equipment in the gym and the pool. Rooms were clean, according to a number of guests. Several guests commented on nice views of the Harbour from their rooms.

Staff were friendly and attentive, and were flexible in meeting guest needs and requests.

There were some peripheral comments praising the quality of the linens and the showers.

The Bad
While most reviews, of those used for this analysis, were positive for this hotel, there were a few common threads through the complaints, centring on things like parking and the layout of the rooms.

Some guests felt that the hotel was expensive, and several felt that the parking fee of $16/day was excessive. These guests felt that, given the rate paid for the room, parking should have been included.

There were a number of comments from guests who felt that the rooms were small, awkwardly configured and difficult to move around in. This held particularly true with guests who had multiple people in one room. Several guests also said that the decor, especially the furniture, was dated.

There were a few notes from guests who were bothered by noise from other guests in the hallways and from the elevator.

There were a few peripheral complaints centring on things like lack of mini-bar, fridge and microwave in the rooms and on spotty WI FI connections.
