There were other elements present that enhanced the stay for many guests. Service from staff received top marks from several guests, who frequently used words like "helpful". The rooms were also well-equipped and spacious. Those who had rooms with a view said that the view was impressive.

The Bad
While the impressions were generally good for guests staying at Harbour Towers Hotel and Suites, there were a few common threads among guest complaints, including issues with some items in the rooms, the decor and the on-site restaurant.

While many had indicated that rooms were clean and spacious, a few guests had problems with their rooms not being well-maintained. One guest said that the carpet in their room was stained, and that there was a hole in the wall in the shower. Several guests felt that the decor in general in the rooms needed upgrading, and used words like "tired".

A few guests had problems with their beds; a number of guests claimed that the beds were too firm. One guest had a bed frame that didn't fit the mattress. Additionally, there were several guests that had problems with hot water in the shower.

There were a handful of other problems in the rooms. Several guests felt that the rooms were hot and stuffy, and a few objected to not having A/C.

Some of the other complaints centred around the on-site restaurant, with some guests saying that the food was expensive, service slow and at times unfriendly.

There were also handful of other, less common complaints. A few guests said the elevators were slow, while some guests were disappointed that the pool was closed for maintenance during their stay.

"We had stayed here before & loved it so much we decided against booking a package deal so that we could stay here again, however, we were disappointed to be stuck in a room overlooking the climate control units (and having to deal with the noise). We decided not to try to change rooms(I had already called the hotel to confirm since I never received a confirmation from the internet service I booked thru and had been informed at that time that the internet service was not given any view rooms to book. We were futher disappointed when we also had the intermitent noise from a party during our second night's stay, which I suspect was in banquet room below us somewhere. I had explained to both the booking service & the hotel that we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, and though we decided to take the room without a view to allow us to have an extra dinner out, we definitely would have chosen to either upgrade or stay at another hotel had we known of the noise issues. I was extremely disappointed that the reservation clerk could not have told us that on top of no view we would also have the noise issues to deal with. Because, we enjoyed our stay so much the first time, and because the restuarant & housekeeping staff were both excellent, we may decided to try this hotel again, but we definitely, will be booking directly with the hotel and being very specific about our room expectations. Overall, I'd have to rate my stay there disappointing as we went with high expectations to celebrate a special time and unfortunately, those expectations were not met."
