Peter from Gold Coast, QL AU stayed on July 12, 2006
"From the time of arrival you were treated as though you were not just $ & cents. This contiued on throughout the stay from the housemaid to the conceiege & front desk, all people helping to make your stay as pleasing as they possibly could. After leaving Victoria my wife and I travelled to Whistler and stayed at the Pan Pacific Mountainside and on leaving I suggested they could take some lessons from the staff at Best Western Carlton Plaza.
This hotel is within the top 3 hotels we have stayed in since first arriving in USA on the 14th June 2006.
Neither my wife or I look for 5 star but Clean and good service can still come at a budget price at the Best Western Carlton Plaza.
Regards Peter D from the Gold Coast Queensland Australia."

"There was a desk clerk named Robert and he was by far the most knowledgable and curtious person we met during our duration of the stay. Because of his unbeatable customer service skills I would say there is no other place I would stay in Victoria other than the Best Western Carlton Plaza."

Richard from Rochester, GB stayed on October 04, 2004
"We were put on a floor where they had let around 6 rooms to young men who left their doors on the latch and as they went in and out of their rooms the doors kept banging on th door frame, after about an hour at 11-15pm we complained, someone said they would come up and take a look. No one did and this went on until 1am as well as shouting and beer bottles rattling. The staff weren't bothered when we told them in the morning, they didn't seem to care and so we left and checked in to another hotel that was alot quieter, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to a cat. Rubbish, also there was no lounge area so you had to go into the city to get a drink and a meal as the restaurant was shut."

"When I showed up early the day of check-in to find my room wasn't ready yet, they upgraded me to a suite when I was able to checkin. Very friendly staff. Don't forget to check out the Dutch restaurant connected to the lobby - excellent breakfasts!"
