Overview
This property is a fully-restored historic mansion that was originally built in 1885 and is furnished with period antiques. This B&B is well-suited for guests who prefer to experience historically significant accommodations. This B&B is located in the Rockland community, north-east of downtown Victoria.

This property is 100% smoke-free and rooms include free Wi-Fi, bed-side tables, a TV, a sitting area and storage for clothing and personal items. Select rooms also include a fireplace. All rooms are furnished with one queen bed, while all suites are furnished with one king bed and a jetted tub. Select rooms are equipped with a bathtub only in the en suite bathrooms.

Free parking is available on site and pets are not permitted. This property does not have an elevator.

A free three-course breakfast is served daily from 8:30 am to 9:30 am. However, depending on the needs of guests, breakfast service times may be altered. The dining area is configured with a one large common table and several private tables.

This property also offers an on-site spa which provides massage and manicure services.

There are a few restaurants located within a 2-minute walk of this property. The Craigdarroch Castle is an 8-minute walk away, while the Lieutenant-Governor's residence (features free admission to the on-site French gardens) is 9 minutes away on foot. The Good
Many guests described pleasant stays at this property, among the reviews used for this analysis, and there were several aspects of this property that received praise from guests.

The building and rooms were described as well-appointed and many guests indicated that they found the atmosphere relaxing. A couple of guests specifically mentioned that they appreciated the claw-foot tubs in their bathrooms and the high ceilings throughout the property. A few reviewers found their rooms to be clean.

The hosts were frequently complimented for their friendly and accommodating service. A couple of guests specifically mentioned that the hosts granted their requests for earlier breakfast service or packed breakfasts to take away.

The food served at breakfast was frequently praised and one reviewer described the food as excellent. However, a few guests thought that the customer service during breakfast could have been better (see below for more details).

Several reviewers said that they enjoyed the residential location of this property. One guest described the neighbourhood as beautiful and another reviewer mentioned walking to Craigdarroch Castle.
