Overview
Journey Inn Vernon is centrally located, within a 5-minute walk of downtown Vernon and its shops, restaurants and Heritage Murals. The hotel offers basic accommodations, which may appeal to those wanting a no-frills stay within in walking distance of many businesses.

This hotel offers 38 rooms (some of which allow smoking) over two floors. Standard room features include a TV, a desk, a mini-fridge, a coffeemaker, air conditioning and either one or two queen beds or a king bed. One-bedroom suites feature either two or three queen beds. Free Wi-Fi and local calls are available in every room. Small pets are allowed in certain rooms for an additional $10 per night (must be arranged at the time of reservation).

Amenities at this hotel include a seasonal outdoor heated pool and guest computer in the lobby. Free parking is available to all guests.

There are many businesses within a a few blocks of the hotel and Okanagan Science Centre, Vernon Community Arts Centre and Polson Park are one block away. The Good
Most reviews used for this analysis were positive and focused on the level of cleanliness, the staff, the location and the pool.

Many guests described the hotel as being "dated but spotless". The level of cleanliness in both the rooms and common areas was a highlight for guests.

The management and staff were complimented by many guests for being exceptionally friendly and helpful. Guests mentioned that they were accommodating and offered good restaurant suggestions.

Many guests felt the hotel was in a convenient location within walking distance of the downtown area and several restaurants. Guests appreciated having a liquor store, laundromat and grocery store in the nearby area.

Some guests enjoyed the seasonal outdoor pool and felt it was clean, well-maintained and relaxing.

Although the majority of reviews used for this analysis were positive, negative comments focused on the age of the hotel.

Many guests felt the hotel was very clean and well-managed, however, several aspects of the hotel were said to be outdated. Guests noted that linens, decor and furnishings were older and that some beds and pillows were a bit smelly. Some guests also complained of noisy or ineffective air conditioning units. Overall, guests thought this was a well-maintained yet older style hotel that offered no-frills accommodation.
