The staff were complimented by many guests for being friendly and helpful. Guests also mentioned that staff were efficient and courteous.
Many guests appreciated that the hotel offered a variety of amenities. The tropical courtyard was a highlight for many and was described as being meticulously maintained, with great ambiance.
Although many felt the pool was warm and enjoyable, a few complained that it had ladders for access, rather than stairs.
There were a few complaints of slow service in the restaurants but other than that, most comments were positive and mentioned that the food and service was good and that it was convenient to have restaurants on site.
Some guests appreciated the hotel's proximity to shops, restaurants and the downtown area.
The Bad
Although many reviews used for this analysis were positive, some negative points focused on the age of the building, noise and housekeeping.
Many guests felt the hotel was "showing it's years" and could use some updating of decor and amenities to give it a more modern appearance. There were several complaints that the hotel did not have an elevator, however, at the time of writing there was one being installed.
Some guests were disturbed by noise from the courtyard and pool area. A few others complained of noise from guests in adjacent rooms.
Although, many guests mentioned that the rooms were clean, there were a few complaints that the daily housekeeping was not at the level expected by some guests.
