Overview
Located right downtown near Gastown and a 5-minute walk from Granville SkyTrain, the Victorian Hotel Vancouver is geared towards travellers who prefer a small boutique-style hotel with free Wi-Fi, a free continental breakfast and easy access to public transit. 

Each of this smoke-free hotel's guest rooms comes equipped with a fan, free Wi-Fi, cable TV, an iPod dock, a bathrobe for each guest, a coffeemaker and a private or shared bathroom with a hair dryer. Rooms with a shared bathroom also have an in-room sink. The hotel is not wheelchair accessible.

Hotel amenities include 24-hour reception, laundry services, a business centre, a free continental breakfast and limited self-parking for an additional $18.90 per day. Pets are not permitted.

The Vancouver Convention Centre is roughly 8 minutes away via public transit, while Pacific Centre Mall can be found 5 minutes away on foot. The Good
The majority of the reviews sourced for this analysis were positive, with much praise going to the hotel's location, staff and rooms.

The hotel's location was convenient for numerous guests. They described it as central and close to downtown, shopping, restaurants, public transit, the waterfront, Gastown and Yaletown.

Many lodgers praised the hotel's staff, characterizing them as friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating and helpful with directions and suggestions. One patron remarked, "a first class team of staff who look after you. John could get a job with the Tourism Board with all the tips he gave on the city's architecture and locations to get good photos. On our return from our Cruise Brian allowed us to keep our luggage at the hotel until we had to leave for our evening flight. Now that is real service".

Several reviewers were pleased with the hotel's accommodations. They found their rooms to be clean, spacious, updated and tastefully decorated, with comfortable beds and linens and great toiletries. A few travellers had complaints, however (see below).
