"It was a little bit scary. I'm not sure I would stay there again. There was a nice looking Best Western right next door though"

"I was in Vancouver on business, and fortunately was within easy walking distance from where I had to go. During my brief free time, I could leasurely and safely walk around the area to find nice eating establishments. The location for me, therefore, was wonderful. As for the hotel itself, within the Travelodge chain, I wouldn't rank it high. The Travelodge in Sidney is so much better looking and so much cleaner. Perhaps because it is a newer addition to the chain? That I don't know, but the one I stayed in was in need of inprovements. Carpeting, painting, the elevator and other points need a looking after. The clerk I first dealt with was quite kind and gave me a super room location, one that was quiet and had a "view." However, the other clerks were too busy watching TV or reading some papers to give me quick attention. And the directions to the bus station were totally incorrect, so that I got there with less than one minute to catch the bus I needed. This is unforgivable.
However, on the whole, I will stay there again, because of the convenient location, and will recomend my friends to stay there, too, with the above qualifications."

"I'd recommend it because it suited our purpose and was close to the beach (English Bay). However the front desk clerk was grumpy and our toilet kept breaking."

"I am a college student who went there to party. It is right next to Granville street where all of the clubs are so it is really close to everything and a great price for poor college students. Under 100 dollars for four people in a room is a good deal. Would recommend it to any one just dont be too noisy!"

"The hotel is situated on Howe street which runs parallel to Granville street. Howe St itself is fine. However Granville street is a little bit run down. If you walk up into the centre of town via Granville, you will more than likely get approached by people begging for money.
The hotel itself was a little bit run down. You get what you pay for."
