"Stay away from The Sylvia ...depressing!"

"The restaurant and bar area of the hotel is charming. the rooms in the hotel are terrible. they charge enough for the rooms that they should be able to spend money on decorating the rooms a little. The rooms look like something out of the 1920's...not charming.. They are drab and dismal!!! Why can't they put up some nice drapes and good looking bedspreads? We were really discusted and would never stay there again or recommended to our friends. we stayed in many lovely hotels during our month long trip...this was the only one that was the pits!!"
