"L'Hermitage Hotel was lovely and the people were very friendly and helpful. We arrived early so our room was not ready, but the staff treated us to complimentary coffee in the 5th floor lounge. All of the decor and amenities were wonderful...we even had a chance to use the outdoor pool and hot tub. My main complaint is that there was a lack of attention to details. There were quite a few things that rattled and hummed in the kitchen...the oven made a lot of noise while it was running and even for a while after it had been shut off. Our alarm clock went off the first morning at the crack of dawn...I had even checked the clock before bed because this does sometimes happen, but it said OFF on the front, so I assumed it was ok. The next morning we got an early morning phone call...wrong number, but still annoying to be woken again. There was an air vent outside the bedroom window that was absolutely filthy - made me want to keep the windows closed. Overall, a lovely hotel and I would stay there again and do recommend it, but if these little details could be fixed, this hotel would really be amazing."
