This hotel overlooks the Vancouver harbourfront and is less than a 3-minute walk to the Vancouver Convention Centre, the Seawall trail system, the and cruise ship terminal. This property would be ideal for travellers looking to explore the downtown area on foot based on the hotel's proximity to a variety of attractions.

This hotel is 100% smoke-free. All 377 rooms include bathrobes, a bathroom which includes a soaker tub, walk-in shower, and flat-screen TV, a bedside touch-screen controller for lighting, temperature, and curtains, a flat-screen TV with pay-per-view movies, a safe, a mini-bar and snack centre (extra fees may apply), an iPod dock, and a Nespresso coffee machine. In-room Wi-Fi is available for an additional fee of $14.65 per 24 hours for non-President's club members.

Guests staying in Fairmont Gold level rooms receive private check-in, concierge and butler services, free breakfast, free afternoon tea, and free evening canapes. 

Valet parking is available for an additional fee of $46 per night and self-parking is $44 per night including tax. Pets are permitted for an additional fee of $25 per night.

A couple of guests said that the staff anticipated their needs and one reviewer said that the service "exceeded my expectations". 

Many guests described their rooms as clean and well-appointed with modern decor. One reviewer described her room as "spa like". Several guests described their beds as comfortable and one reviewer said that the beds felt like they were "made for angels in heaven". Several guests praised the views of the harbour from their rooms.

There were very few concerns or complaints found for this property, however, a few guests did have difficulty operating the in-room touch controls for the lighting, temperature, and curtains. One guest described the controls as "finicky", while another reviewer said that the controls were "difficult to master".

Isolated complaints included: the additional fee for valet parking was expensive ($43 per night), room rates were expensive (contrary to how others felt regarding the hotel being a good value for money spent), and the granite flooring in the guest bathroom became slippery when wet.
